Onychomycosis

Onychomycosis is a fungal disease primarily affecting toenails, but it can also involve heels and fingernails. The disease is caused by various fungi, especially in people with weakened immunity, endocrine disorders, or chronic infections.

External risk factors: minor injuries, poor hygiene, excessive sweating, dry skin on the feet, use of non-sterile pedicure tools.

Symptoms: nail discoloration (white, yellow, or gray), redness and itching between toes, nail thickening and brittleness, discomfort and pain when wearing shoes.

Treatment:
